Bonnie Somerville (Vocals)
Bonnie Somerville is currently working hard as a singer with her new group Band From TV. Joining her in the lineup are Greg Grunberg of "Heroes", Hugh Laurie of "House" James Denton of "Desperate Housewives" and Bob Guiney of "The Bachelor". She was last seen starring in ABC's Drama "Cashmere Mafia", created by Darren Star, also starring Lucy Liu, Miranda Otto and Francis O'Connor. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Somerville was raised by a single Mom. She developed a desire to perform at a very young age through singing and acting in school and community theatre productions. She studied Musical Theatre at Boston College and went on to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York.
At the age of 20 Somerville was discovered singing in a nightclub by Bob Gaudio, who's life in the Four Seasons was made into a hit musical on Broadway with "Jersey Boys". She struck a development deal with RCA records as a singer/songwriter. She later had one with Interscope records. She continues to perform in Los Angeles and wrote and performed the original song, "Winding Road" on the Garden State Soundtrack , which won the Grammy for Best soundtrack of the Year in 2005. Somerville's first major acting role was starring as Lynn Danner, a 1950's and 60's singer/songwriter in the CBS miniseries, "Shake Rattle and Roll"' in which she also sang. Her first leading role in a TV series was starring as Courtney Scott on Darren Star's critically acclaimed comedy, "Grosse Pointe". She also went on to star in the NBC comedy "In-Laws", opposite Dennis Farina, Jean Smart and Elon Gold. These past few years, Somerville starred on two of television's biggest shows, ABC's "NYPD Blue" and Fox's "The O.C". Audiences will also remember her as Mona, girlfriend to Ross on "Friends." She also starred in "Kitchen Confidential" on FOX, created by Darren Star. Her Feature film credit's include "Without a Paddle", and most recently,the independent comedy "Shades of Ray". Her other feature-film credits include Bedazzled, Sleep Easy Hutch Rimes, Crime and Punishment in Suburbia and Spiderman 2. Somerville is currently working on her first album, in Los Angeles. She is also producing and is the executive soundtrack producer of the independent film she co-wrote with Justin Talt, "The End of Innocence", to be filmed this fall.
