Band From TV was created to provide funding and resources for several incredibly worthwhile charities around the world. When it comes to celebrity charity involvement, there is true power in numbers. Coming together, we formed a celebrity rock band on a mission to make a difference in advancing and supporting the charities we feel passionately about.
Mission Statement
Band From TV consists of actors, musicians, and athletes who have come together for a common goal; to raise money through music to help those in need. Finding a cure, helping children around the world, protecting our environment, providing educational materials or musical instruments, aiding in natural disasters, or standing up against domestic violence, we will do everything in our power to not only get the message out, but raise much needed funds. Our goal is to make it possible for the charities to have the resources they need do the work they set out to do. The list of organizations we support may change, but one thing remains constant, Band From TV is here to help.
Vision Statement
We understand the impact we provide through the sale of band related music and merchandise. Our goal goes way beyond financial contributions. Most celebrities want to help but don't know how to make the biggest impact. It costs nothing to give. Band From TV will be a model for other celebrities to organize and mobilize in a creative way. Our vision is to bring other celebrities in as guest musicians, support their charities, and in turn, open up our network to everyone. And for those celebrities not musically inclined, there is always a tambourine standing by. |

The Mission of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) is to organize for collective power by advancing transformative work, thinking and leadership of communities and individuals working to end the violence in our lives.
NCADV believes violence against women and children results from the use of force or threat to achieve and maintain control over others in intimate relationships, and from societal abuse of power and domination in the forms of sexism, racism, homophobia, classism, anti-Semitism, able-bodyism, ageism and other oppressions. NCADV recognizes that the abuses of power in society foster battering by perpetuating conditions, which condone violence against women and children. Therefore, it is the mission of NCADV to work for major societal changes necessary to eliminate both personal and societal violence against all women and children.

In 1989, Indiana University School of Medicine and Moi University School of Medicine agreed to join together to develop leaders in health care for both the U.S. and Africa. That mission inspired this team to provide invaluable training to future generations of health care providers in both continents. At the turn of the century, in the face of the deadliest pandemic in human history, IU and Moi responded by creating one of AfricaÕs largest, most comprehensive and effective HIV/AIDS control systems. The Indiana-Kenya Partnership responded to the HIV/AIDS crisis by creating the Academic Model for Prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS (AMPATH), which treats over 60,000 HIV-positive patients at 19 sites in both urban and rural Kenya.
