Next time you play Chicago (I hope next year for Taste again!) consider playing Ravinia (Ravinia dot org) You will raise oodles of $$$ for your charities.
I was the high bidder on a signed guitar of the band. I have it proudly displayed in my office. AND I helped save the lives of children with the money. THANK YOU
You guys are fabulous! I know you get asked to do many shows to help your causes so I know this is a long shot but I figured I would ask anyway. My 3 year old has epilepsy and I am on the Baord of Directors for the Epilepsy Foundation of NC. This organization does such great work but is so underfunded. We recently held a small benefit at our home which was a success but we need to continue raising more funds. We would love to have your band support us by playing nearby or even donating some signed instruments etc. We have an Epilepsy Stroll in November and need funds now more than ever. We try never to turn away anyone who cannot afford their seizure medication. Thanks for all you do, Teri Saurer
Hello,
First, I think the charity work you do is absolutely awesome; very inspiring! Second, I am an organizer of a charity event, Paul's Run for Epilepsy, hosted in Prospect Heights, IL. It is held in honor of my nephew, Paul, who passed away from SUDEP (Sudden Unexplained Death in Epilepsy) in October 2008. He was only 21. Last year we raised $13,000 for CURE(Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy), and this year we hope to surpass that, however, given the current economic status, I am not sure that will happen. We would appreciate any help or direction you can offer us. I'm sure you have a million people asking you for help, so I understand if you are not able to.
To Greg: My family understands only too well what you must go through having a child with epilepsy. It is a greatly underfunded and greatly misunderstood condition which desperately needs more awareness and funding. Thank you for raising funding for the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago. My nephew had extensive testing/medications within the Chicago area.
Thanks for listening, and I will continue to follow your band and charitable efforts!
Merry
Howdy guys! Congrats on your awesome show at the Taste of Chicago. I must admit I was among those who had never heard of you, but I am so glad I caught you. (And I think you should consider recruiting Pirate Lady, she added an "extra something"!) As much fun as your show was, what I like the most is what you do - your outreach to the less fortunate. In fact, I do the same. I spoke with one of your back-up singers after the set, and she encouraged me to contact you about the programs I am involved with. In a nutshell, my employer focuses on women and children in Cambodia, collaborates with local orgs at the grassroots level, and can boast that 81% of our funding goes directly to our programs!!! (Admin is only 2.24%, the rest is fundraising.) We have a kick-*$! program to prevent and help victims of sex trafficking that could REALLY use some help this year - I'd love to tell you more about it. If not, all the best anyway and keep up the good work - you rock!!!

I so enjoyed seeing all the videos from your amazing shows in Chicago. Please consider doing a concert in New Orleans. I know Hugh loves it here, and you guys have a lot of fans. Gulf Coast residents could use a distraction.
When can we see you in France? It will be so great! The band is so great and you are all very good musicians.
Nice to see you soon (maybe ... so).
Good continuation, guys!
I love you guys, you're the best. I would like to know if anybody could tell me where I can get the guitar that Hugh played yesterday on Chicago. Thank you, I really appreciate it.
You guys ROCKED the Taste of Chicago last night!!! When are you coming back?! My sisters and I danced the ENTIRE time and have never had so much fun at a concert!!! We are telling everyone about it today and wish you were playing a few more nights at The Taste!!!! Oh and the Sugar Hill Gang rap - hilarious - LOVED IT! You guys are the BEST - can't wait for you to come back to Chi-Town! --Kathy :)
I LOVE you guys !! I didn't know this band existed until my sister saw you play in Chicago on Fri 6-25. Is there any chance you are coming to New York (More specifically Long Island) Anytime soon ?? Keep up the Great work !
Saw you guys at the Taste on Saturday! You gave a great show and you pick good music to cover! The violin playing is a great addition to the band too and not many have it! It is great that you volunteer this way because it shows your fans that you can volunteer/raise money and still have fun doing something you enjoy!
Hello Band! Thanks for all you do & especially for all the charities!! my only question for now is, can people request you come to a certain city, (ahem, boston?) or do you do all of your own booking/planning?
thanks!!
A couple of girlfriends and I are looking forward to seeing you guys at the Taste of Chicago this weekend!!! Thanks for supporting the IU Kenya partnership... it is such a great organization!
Thanks so much for all that you do, we really appreciate your work. I'd love to come see you all in Chicago, but ironically, we can't afford to come because my girlfriend's medications for her epilepsy costs too much and we're uninsured. The money to come out and see you is about what we pay for 5 days of her medication. Best of luck, just the same! I hope everything goes well and you make a ton for epilepsy next week!
